Recap + New Hair

The last few months have been full of so many changes and excitment!! Here is a little recap of my instagram pics from the last month!
Rainey graduated from BYU | We said goodbye to our first apartment together in Provo | We said goodbye to some of our best friends and I said goodbye to my salon:( | Made it to our new home in Dallas | Celebrated Christmas and New Years in Texas with the Rogers | Took a short trip to Denver for our friend Ryan's Wedding | Decided to start the year off with lighter locks
I was so ready to add some lighter pieces to my hair! I used the balayage technique and used blonde icing by redken to give my hair the least damage as possible! My sister was my assistant but I pretty much dyed the whole thing myself! I am going to post a tutorial for you all soon!

Here are 4 of my favorite tips to help your hair grow LONG this year! Listen up..

1.) BRUSH YOUR HAIR/SCALP: STIMULATES YOUR CELLS AND PROMOTES HAIR GROWTH. Whether this is a 'myth' or not, I did it and STILL do it and it seriously helps, a lot.

2.) VITAMIN E OR BIOTIN:  Biotin and Vitamin E works as well at growing your hair. Depending on which brand you get, the dosage you take will be different.. The kind I use can be found at ANY drug store.

3.) NO HEAT:  No blow drying, no straightening, curling, anything.. if you HAVE To..use heat protection spray. I use Hot Off The Press by Paul Mitchell. When I use no heat in my hair I usually braid my hair at night so in the morning its wavy or put it in two ballerina buns and sleep with it and it also gives it a pretty wave.

4.) DEEP CONDITION: I deep condition my hair once or twice a week. I use Redken Chemistry shots Deep Conditioner(You have to go into a salon for this) and Pureology Hydrate Masque (You can use at home). I put it on and if I am in the shower I leave it on for 10 minutes or so. It is better to rinse with warm/cold water because it helps close your hair cuticles locking in the conditioner.

Happy Friday!! Have an amazing weekend!!
xoxo
