The perfect products for your hair type

As a hairstylist I go through so many phases of trying out different shampoos and conditioners always searching for the perfect combination for my hair type. Pureology has always left my hair feeling healthier and softer than any other line so I am a firm believer in this stuff.  The Nanoworks luxury system is my absolute favorite out of the entire line! What's different is that Nanoworks uses Nano Technology and an Anti-Aging Complex, which team up to rejuvinate lack-luster hair that's been damaged. The only con is it's a little pricey, but if you color your hair it will be worth it to keep your color looking bright and silky! I like to switch it up and use a different line of shampoo to give my hair a little more of what it's lacking so I use the Precious Oil  line for my shampoo. My hair texture is medium and frizzy/curly so this is the perfect combo I found for me. There is honestly a perfect combo of shampoo and conditioner for every hair type out there! Do some experimenting!

Below are a few of my recommendations that have worked great on my clients with these hair types!

  1. I love it's a 10 leave in conditioner! It's my favorite to spray in my hair after my shower! Always leaves my hair smooth and smelling great!

  2. Great post! I prefer salon quality products of course, but I'm on a grad student budget right now. Do you have any suggestions for less expensive products that also do a good job? Thanks girl!

    1. Hi Hannah! I honestly dont know the last time I didn't use salon quality products so I couldn't recommend any from my own experience but a few of my clients use loreal and john frieda and seem to like it. Even if you just get a good quality conditioner and dont spend as much on a shampoo that will make a HUGE difference in your hair!

  5. What about fine but thick hair? I've tried purology and don't love it... I have a massive amount of fine hair which means if it's down all day I'm flat and tangled by 2:30. Any suggestions?

    1. You should try allsoft by redken! It wont be as heavy on your hair. Or a lot of my clients with fine thick hair have the Miracle Filler detangler by Pureology that they use after washing and it leaves it tangle free all day!

  7. Thank you for the recommendations. I wanted to reach out and ask about your hair services, are you booking? I know you are new to Dallas, I am around Fort Worth. I have enjoyed your blog and style for a while now and was very interested in seeing if you were accepting new clients?
